Gender expression is how a person outwardly expresses their gender identity. It includes behaviors such as how they dress, speak, and act. It can also include hairstyles, makeup, and other physical characteristics.Gender expression is not necessarily related to a person’s gender identity. For example, a person who identifies as female may express themselves in a masculine way.
